First Blog Post!

Hi there!

    My name is Tyler Suing I am 21 years old, and I attend Oregon State University. In April 2023 I will graduate with a bachelors in Finance. Currently I am focused on school and on my job, where I am an assistant manager for a coffee shop in Albany Oregon. I was born and raised in Lebanon Oregon, before living on campus for a year and then moving into a place in Albany. I am taking this course because my upcoming final two terms  will have to  be payed out of pocket, and getting as much I can done at LBCC is the most cost effective way of getting my degree. Which does happen to be a business major, more specifically, Finance. Marketing is something that has always interested me as well, and I hope that as I take this course I will gain insight into building a brand, because I do believe that to be one of the most important things for a company.

    Outside of college, I get together with my friends and family. I play videogames and some recreational sports. One of my biggest passions however right now is making music. I am still in the very early stages of learning the guitar and how to write songs, but it is something that I thoroughly enjoy doing. I started playin guitar one to two years ago and it is something that has stuck with me since. 

I am excited to take this class with everyone and here's to a good summer!

       For this assignment I chose Dutch Bros Coffee. Mostly what I found through comments on social media posts is that people want this company to open new shops in their hometowns. A lot of positive feedback in the comment sections. What interested me about this company is that I work for them, so I know a thing or two about them however I don't know to much about their marketing process.     The Value Proposition of this company, is not just their product the coffee. It is the experience they offer. This is a company in which their sole purpose is to provide the customer with an amazing experience every time. Marketing in the News

       The article I am reviewing I find to be very interesting. The thing that brought my interest in first however was Elon Musk. This is a mann that has been in the news for many reasons lately, and everytime I find it interesting. As well this article involves SpaceX one of his companies that I am most interested in.      To summarize this article it is a summary piece of the ongoing situation between "SpaceX", "Dish", and the FCC. SpaceX and Dish are in a battle for radio waves where the FCC decides the outcome. Dish the cable company has specific rights for radio waves between 12 and 12.7 gigahertz and they have used these for sometime now. However SpaceX also uses those same radio waves and how it has been there has been no harm. However Dish wants to put up more satellites, and try to put a 5G network through those same frequencies.
